· Unavoidable compassionate personal circumstances (such as life-threatening serious illness of myself or a close relative)
· Skilled Worker Approved scientific research activities
But please be sure to remember two points: these exceptions are not automatically effective, and you must proactively provide evidence (hospital certificates, flight cancellation records, employer letters, etc.); and the review process is very strict. "Returning to the country to be with your family" does not itself mean "serious life-threatening illness", and the line is very fine.
